Welcome to POSCH - we are a small charity supporting families with children with additional needs who live in the Hambleton, Richmondshire and surrounding areas. We promote parent to parent support, a safe and confidential space for parents to chat and provide signposting and referrals to other agencies if needed.

Music is really important to our family and we regularly share our favourite songs - this means I know the lyrics to lots of new songs from artists I'd never heard off before and my children count some of my favourite music from the 1960's onwards as their favourite too!

As we head for half term, we just wanted to take a moment to think about how we are feeling?
It has been a challenging start to the year, but the half term week off gives us a chance to be more restful, and refresh ourselves and our families.
Anxiety, in particular can build up over weeks and present itself in many ways but the good news is there are many ways to combat the feeling and help ourselves.
Although this image about spotting anxiety focusses on children it is just as relevant for us parents.
And there are plenty of small activities we can do to help reduce the feeling, whether that be simply taking a moment to have a cuppa, speak to a friend, or just slow down.
Wishing you a restful half term and we are always here for a chat if you need us.
